Registration goodness should start around high noon tomorrow at the Allston court. (Click for map) All teams must be registered by Friday night, and paid up if possible since our fee collectors don’t work weekends… ok that’s not true because that’s me and I”ll be around… but still folks, make it easy on me! Teams will get a call from the organizers Friday night with info on what bracket they’re scheduled to be in on Saturday. AM bracket starts at 10:00AM – and showing up late will cost you valuable game time… and probably irk dah organizers.
$60 cash per team, gets you into the tournament, shirts, and other goodness.
Seattle, Vancouver, Sarasota, and Pensacola were all in town Thursday night for some straight up pickup at the Allston court.

It appears that a lot of people have been missing the link to the ESPI map. Sliiiiightly concerned ’cause it’s pasted all over the Schedule page – so if you haven’t looked that over yet please do! The more familiar everyone is with how this tournament is to be run the more beautifully it’ll all go.
The map should start fully zoomed in on the main tournament court in Allston. The second biggest point of interest is the second location on the list on the left, “Conway Park.” This is the second tournament court.
All teams will be contacted Friday night, probably quite late (but not into the wee hours), and informed with where and when their team will be playing. It is the team’s responsibility to show up at their assigned court on time so that we can get the show on the road! If I don’t have any contact info for your team, pleaaaaase email me at gus@legitbikepolo.com with at least one of your phone numbers.
Ok ok ok ok, ’nuff whining. Here’s Nick doing a wheelie with a finger in his nose.

eighthinch.com sent a box full’o goodies for all ESPI’ers to enjoy. Check out their site for all things fixed gear – including 1:9 scale track bikes!
Watch out for Nick at the ESPIs. He might drop his mallet, kick out his leg, turn your right eye’s vision black and white, apply minor burning, throw in some motion blur and layermask himself into sharpness. That’s how good this kid is on a bike.
click image for huge – might make some sense of the above rambling…
Hopefully none of you other East Coasters got stuck with the thunderstorms that were in the neighborhood. According my soothsaying friend weather.com, there’s a half chance of beautiful refreshing water falling from the heavens during the upcoming ESPI tournament. Jav believes we’ll have light showers Saturday morning that will taper off by noon, giving us glorious polo conditions while keeping the basketball players off the pick-up court.

Should you find yourself sitting on your polo bike awaiting the THREETWOONEGO call with this man staring you down from behind the cones across the court… well, good luck I say. Too bad luck won’t save you from the Spanish Fury of Javier. This image was captured in a rare moment of glee that overcame him as he realized that he was destined to rip apart every single ESPI team that he and his cronies-in-chaos Jamie and Howl will face in the tournament.
